The 40 Day Prayer Challenge - Unlocking the Power of Partnered Prayer

A guide for how to pray with your spouse or other prayer partner. My husband and I did this together, and some rich blessings came from it. I've also recommended it to people who are not accustomed to praying aloud with others and would like a step-by-step “how to” guide.

THE POWER OF A PRAYING WIFE, by Stormie Omartian

There are lots of great books out there about how to pray for your husband and marriage, but this one is dear to my heart because it is what first introduced me to just how powerful PRAYER is. It’s a great place to start!

THE POWER OF A PRAYING PARENT, by Stormie Omartian

One of many great reSOURCEs out there providing guidance on how to pray for your children. I have many in my library of books, and I refer to them often!

PRAYING CIRCLES AROUND THE LIVES OF YOUR CHILDREN, Mark Batterson

One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is keeping them constantly covered in prayer. As author Mark Batterson says, "you can leave a legacy for generations to come. Your prayers have the power to shape the destiny of your children and your children's children”

PRAYING CIRCLES AROUND YOUR MARRIAGE, Schmidgall/Batterson

This book covers 7 key prayer circles for your marriage: Vision Circle, Romance Circle, War Circle, Dance Circle, Support Circle, Storm Circle, and Legacy Circle. Another great tool for bringing the power of prayer into your marriage!

Better Than You Think: Six Ways to Think Your Way to Success

There is a saying “When you keep doing what you always did, you get what you always got.” Until I was ready to change my way of thinking, real change in my life could not happen. I’ve learned so much from Keesee Ministries, and this is just one of Drenda Keesee’s great reSOURCEs about aligning your thinking with who God says you are!

The Wonder of the Greatest Gift (an Advent family celebration)

I love this interactive Advent book!  During the month of December, each day my youngest son opens a window inside the book and takes out an ornament to hang on the pop-up tree.  Together we read the Advent story of that day.  It’s a beautiful tradition to remember Christ in Christmas!

War Room

My husband and I saw this movie as we were in process of building a new home.  It so powerfully moved us, we decided to create a prayer room inside an upper floor space that was not originally going to be finished out.  WoW…the things that are happening in that prayer room now!  Not just for our family, but for others beyond our family.  PRAYER IS POWERFUL.  Watch this movie!

No Such Thing As Normal

A precious children’s book that redefines the word “normal,” written by one of my girlfriend guest bloggers,Megan DeJarnett. It’s a beautiful way to teach your child how to embrace and love differences we are all created with and includes discussion questions at the end.
