Reaching For Unsinkable Truth
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
We live in a world that is flipping truth for lies, and lies for truth. It is growing increasingly hard to know what’s what. WILL THE REAL TRUTH PLEASE STAND UP?
I once passed a church sign that said, “The truth is God’s opinion on any matter.” I thought, That sums it up perfectly! No matter what tactics the powers and principalities of this world (Ephesians 6:12) use to hide, twist, cancel and destroy the truth, we know how to know God’s opinion. It’s in the Bible. He has given us His Word so we can search every matter out (Deuteronomy 29:29) and find His truth.
However...the enemy has executed a rather effective “think tank” strategy of getting people to believe THERE IS NO ABSOLUTE TRUTH. The culture of the world says, “Your truth is your truth, my truth is my truth.” And there is ‘a grain’ of truth in that statement – because what a person believes to be true is their truth.
But what if the truth you are believing is really a lie? What if living out what you believe is actually a death sentence on your life...even if you don’t realize it? Plain and simple...what the enemy gets you to think will eventually make your life tank. His “think tank” leads to death...because that is his goal: to steal, kill and destroy your life (John 10:10).
In my blog titled Titanic Truth Reveal, I shared a heavenly download I received about what censorship really is... and why it is happening at accelerating levels. The enemy is hiding things under a VEIL of deception, in order to keep TRUTH from preVAILing!
I personally have encountered very obvious incidents of censorship as I share about living God’s way on my faith platform (click here to read about it)...enough to make me question at times whether I am just wasting my time. On more than one occasion I have asked God, “Should I just...abandon ship?! After all... what good is a ghost ship? If the truth is being suppressed and hidden, and even replaced with lies, why bother continuing to put the truth out there? Is it just a lost cause?”
I share with you now download #2...what the Lord told me in answer to those questions:
The truth is unmovable, unchangeable and unsinkable, whether it is seen or unseen. Just continue to share the truth with others, and the Holy Ghost will make it seen by those who choose The Way, The Truth and The Life. The “Holy Ghost” ship is the life preserver for those who are seeking Jesus with all their hearts. I AM THE ARK that rescues my children from the sea (“see”) of death... THOSE WHO SEEK ME WILL NOT SINK!
WOW. In an ocean of lies swirling around us every minute of every day, literally threatening to drown us in satan’s sea of death (by trying to make us only “see” his lies and accept them as truth), there is peace in knowing we have God’s ark of rescue. The Bible tells us that when we seek Him with all our heart, we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). And in finding Him, we find The Truth. Unlike the world’s version of truth that is constantly changing, God’s Truth never changes (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8). And in persistently sharing The Truth (in spite of the many forces against it) by whatever means possible, we get to be part of the life preserver to help rescue others!
Noah persisted nearly 100 years in building the ark, even though Scripture indicates there was no such thing as RAIN even visible in the atmosphere at that point in time. I can only imagine how pointless it must have felt at times...but he did what God told him to do, patiently and persistently, until the day finally came when GOD’S WORD to Noah proved to be life-saving TRUTH. As water began pouring from the sky (sent to destroy the flood of wickedness that had overtaken the earth), the one man who chose truth took his family aboard the life preserver God had instructed him to build.
So...whenever I get discouraged in feeling that the truth I am sharing isn’t reaching people, I remind myself of what 1 John 4:4 tells me: the King of Kings is greater than the prince of the power of the air! My encouragement comes from an audience of one. The one true God. The one unchanging Truth. It helps me to keep going in the face of “cancel culture.” GOD HAS THE LAST WORD!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. - Galatians 6:9.
Friend, the truth you believe in is the truth you be livin’ ! Reach for the unfailing life preserver — The Unsinkable Truth.
PRAYER FOR WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT
FATHER GOD IN HEAVEN,
I THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME INCREASED WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT. SHOW ME ANY AREAS OF MY LIFE WHERE I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED OR BLIND TO TRUTH. HELP ME TO RECOGNIZE TRUTH FROM DECEIT, AND GIVE ME A HEART THAT ONLY CHOOSES THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. HELP ME TO SHARE YOUR TRUTH WITH OTHERS WHO ARE DECEIVED, SO THAT THEY WILL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE THE EVERLASTING LIFE THAT COMES ONLY FROM YOU. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME HOW TO FULFILL YOUR PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE. MAY ALL THAT I DO TO SHARE YOUR TRUTH BRING GLORY TO YOU! IN JESUS’ NAME. AMEN.
