When God Connects the Dots: A Kingdom Ripple Effect
After nearly four years of faith-blogging hiatus, I’m stepping back into this space with a heart that feels both familiar and brand new.
Familiar—because I’ve known for a decade now that this is part of my calling. Since the time of my “desert experience,” when I lost my (now restored) singing voice. When I stopped chasing my music dream and started chasing Jesus.
Brand new—because my faith has been catapulted forward in ways I could not have imagined since my last publish of a faith blog.
In the empty space of this writing place, I’ve felt God’s grace in challenging new assignments.
He didn’t stop speaking.
He didn’t stop tapping me on the shoulder.
He didn’t stop ordering my steps.
While the faith blogs were paused, He was expanding territory. Pouring more of Himself into the corners of my heart. Keeping me going, keeping me growing, while showing me great and unsearchable things (Jeremiah 33:3) about the mysteries of His Kingdom.
I’ve been walking out deep-and-wide Kingdom assignments—some stretching, some costly, all Faith Forward. The latest of those assignments is now being birthed. And what better time to reengage in faith-blogging than at the birth of a new “Kingdom” baby?
The Twinkle That Started It All
It was almost four years ago when I published my last faith blog, and eight years ago (on April 4, 2018) when I published a blog titled “I Twinkle.” That post captured a moment-of-merges that was more than just a twinkle to me—It was a heavenly display of fireworks!
It told the story of Reba McEntire recording a song I co-wrote called “God and My Girlfriends,” which was released on her Dove- and Grammy-winning SING IT NOW: Songs of Faith and Hope album in 2017.
When I first learned Reba would be recording that song, I felt a nudge—no, a call—from the Lord to create a faith and friendship community rooted in praising God, celebrating girlfriends, and growing in faith together.
That calling became what now exists as GAMGstories-- a real-life-meets-on-line community mirroring the song’s message: “There is no doubt, I’d be nothing without God and my girlfriends.”
The “I Twinkle” blog focused on something even more personal. Something long before the song that was showing up inside Reba’s release of the song.
During a Jesus Calling podcast interview, Reba shared why she recorded “God and My Girlfriends.” Then, recounting a family memory story, she said these words that landed in my spirit with divine precision:
“I’m not a star—I twinkle.”
The moment I heard her say it, I knew.
Not suspected.
Not hoped.
Knew.
God Himself had just delivered a personal confirmation—one not only stamped with a 3:33 marker number that is very specific to my story (check out the I Twinkle blog for more on this)—but it also reached all the way back through time to a moment when that word— that “twinkle”— became mine.
A Movie Theater - A Stranger - A Name foretelling the Future.
That confirmation reached back to around 1999, when I was standing in a movie theater line with girlfriends. The ticket taker—a sweet, elderly gentleman with a “twinkle” in his eye—took my ticket, paused, pointed at me and smiled. Then, he declared to my friends:
“She twinkles!”
It became my nickname among those girlfriends. And a short time later… the name of my music publishing company— Twinkle Town Music Publishing — through which I’ve released my music ever since.
Fast forward many years later… and Reba “twinkles” in a podcast that includes talking about my song ...which is about God and my girlfriends — what are the odds of that!?
God was connecting dots, and I was noticing. They were twinkling all over the place—across time and space, linking my and Reba’s personal stories together in a (surprise!) string of twinkle lights.
Enter Clarence the Angel (and the Ripple Effect)
Recently, the Lord brought me into a fresh revelation—one that stopped me in my tracks (yes I’m just sayin’ it—my ✨twinkle toes✨ tracks!) during the December holiday season.
That movie theater ticket taker?
He bore a striking resemblance to Clarence the Angel from It’s A Wonderful Life—one of my all-time favorite films. One that I watch every year, and have a vintage-style movie poster of displayed in my holiday décor.
A sudden realization hit me of more merging moments…everything tied together in Kingdom-ripples-of-twinkles through decades of time connecting:
✨ The angel in my favorite movie...
✨ Appearing in a movie theater...
✨ Nicknaming me “Twinkles"...
✨ Leading to the Twinkle name in my publishing company...
✨ Leading to a song I co-wrote about God and my girlfriends...
✨ Recorded by Reba McEntire...
✨ Who literally “twinkles” in her own life story...
✨Which she chose to share on a faith-based, Jesus Calling podcast...
✨ Which also includes the story of why this song is important to her.
And now—
This still-unfolding tapestry of twinkles has become a manifest example of what happens when God’s vision—not ours—leads the way. An example I share in my recently-launched Kingdom Vision Board® experience!
Just some of the twinkles and ripples are shown in the following illustration [also shared in the Kingdom Vision Board® on-line course as a video testimonial]:
Ripples Are Meant to Travel
“Don’t be surprised when you’re standing inside of a Kingdom Ripple Effect.”
This is something I now say regularly, after encountering everyday ripples and twinkles since I said yes to this God-assignment: Making a “Kingdom kind” of vision board and teaching others how to do it.
The Kingdom Vision Board® experience isn’t about “stuff.” And yet… material things do manifest— with the unmistakable fingerprints of a personal, loving God.
Why? So that we can:
Know that He sees us and loves us deeply.
Experience His vision and “customized” plans for us coming to life.
Celebrate ripple-effect moments of joy and wonder.
Tell our story for His glory—so someone else can encounter Him personally, too.
This is why I spell reSOURCE the way I do. Everything I share is meant to point back to The SOURCE. The Almighty God Who has a personal, divine destiny in mind for each of us. The One Who is calling us to be seated in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). was never meant to be stagnant.
It was designed to move.
To ripple.
To multiply...
Into A Wonderful (Wonder-FULL!) Life.
A Wake-up Call in ‘Reel"‘ Life
To my fellow twinkle-spotters still with me to the end of this blog, I’ll leave you with one last illustration of time-traveling-twinkles, followed by an invitation for YOU.
In A Wonderful Life movie when Clarence the Angel whispers, “You’ve had a wonderful life,” he’s talking about the cumulative impact of faithfulness—moments that seemed small but when connected together by God’s divine hand, changed everything. That’s what God has been showing me:
The twinkles were never random.
The ripples were never accidental.
And the story is far from over.
Friend, What Ripple Effects does God have in store for you?
I can’t wait to hear about them. You’re invited to join the Kingdom Vision Board® experience HERE.
“Cheers” to 2026!
